PARNDON MILL a thousand years of history

A mill has stood on the banks of the Stort at Little Parndon for a millennium or more. During all that time it has seen countless millers come and go, many of whom are buried in the churchyard, alongside great lords of the manor and humble mill workers. From Saxon peasants, through sixties crafts people and right up to today, this is the story of just some of them, the times in which they lived, and the many challenges they faced both with the mill itself and the river.
