Clay modelling and ceramics with Angelika Hinton

CREATIVE CERAMIC MODELLING

Geli (Angelika Hinton) is now giving informal and relaxed small group classes both daytime and evenings in her studio. Complete beginners, or already keen sculptors - all are welcome.

As Geli says herself: “everything you need will be provided to bring out the artist in you - all you need to bring is yourself! Making ceramics is both fun and therapeutic. You can really lose yourself in the creative process and do something for pure enjoyment. Watching something take shape from your own hands - be it a simple wall decoration, a more complex table ornament or a large piece for the garden - is truly rewarding. In fact, all you need is clay, a little imagination and some guidance. If you've ever wanted to give it a try, well here's your chance!”

Though born and educated in London, Geli has spent most of her adult life in the Middle & Far East. The tropical beauty of Singapore and the cultural diversity of Hong Kong have had a profound influence on her work. Returning to Hertfordshire in 2008, she brought the flamboyant colour and rich expression of these cultures to her ceramic sculptures. Geli works in earthenware and stoneware, making her pieces suitable for interior and exterior locations.
