WEDNESDAY PAINTING AND DRAWING

Roger Jeffs has been teaching Painting and Drawing classes in the Project Space since 2009.

The course is suitable for beginners and for those with some experience. An introductory programme ensures a good solid grounding in the basic elements of painting and drawing from observation: seeing, understanding and manipulating colour; use of line, shape, tone and texture; importance of good composition. Everyone is encouraged to gain experience and skills in a wide range of media and techniques.

For the more advanced/experienced student the class may have a "workshop" ethos, dealing with individual problems, concerns and ideas.

There are regular talks about painting and drawing which also explore the wider context of art history and contemporary fine art practice. .

The atmosphere in the class is serious and professional, challenging but encouraging and often fun!
And always with generous support and enthusiasm from fellow students.

The course takes place in the Project Space at Parndon Mill on Wednesdays. Starting in September there are three ten week terms.
It is possible to attend either mornings, afternoons or all day.

Hours: Morning - 9.45 to 12.45pm Afternoon - 1.30 to 4.30pm.
Fees: (10 weeks) Half day - £195 Full day - £300
