New Town Studio is the design and architecture practice of Chris Snow. The practice was established in 2011 following success in the international competition to design the new electricity pylon with our design, entitled ‘Totem’. We under-take commissions for new build and refurbishment projects, specialising in houses and contemporary interventions on historic or challenging sites. We also offer creative design consultancy in a wide range of disciplines such as development master-planning, infrastructure and furniture design. The ambition of the studio is to help realise designs for our clients that are useful, inventive and beautiful. We aim always to provide a friendly, open and collaborative service that adds real value to our client’s project. Chris began his career with Jonathan Woolf where he was responsible for the multi-award winning Brick Leaf House in London’s Hampstead. This was followed by time in the studios of Allies and Morrison, and most recently Tony Fretton Architects where he was project architect for a string of prestigious projects on sensitive and historic sites. Tietgens Ægrelse in the royal centre of Copenhagen, the new town hall of Deinze, Belgium and the new Tower Wharf Café at the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, a World Heritage Site. Chris is a Chartered Architect registered with the Architects Registration Board and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Contact: Chris Snow |
