“ANTHONY LYSYCIA IS AN ARTIST OF UNUSUAL POWER. HIS WORK IS IMMENSELY ENERGETIC AND FULL OF INNOVATION. HIS WORK IS KNOWN AND RESPECTED BY AN INCREASINGLY WIDE CIRCLE WHO RECOGNISE IN HIS VIGOROUS IMAGES THE FORCE OF A FORMIDABLE TALENT”.

This appreciation of Anthony Lysycia's work is by Michael Rothenstein.
Anthony divides his time between being a practicing artist and working with schools and colleges. This is an invaluable challenge as it enables him to work on a variety of new and exciting projects, whilst giving something back to the community.
Between commissions Anthony takes time to travel the world with his watercolour paper and sketchbooks. Staying in new, exciting environments gives him the fresh approach to his work that he thrives on. All his watercolours are done on location never repainting them back in the studio.
Anthony has completed numerous private and public commissions. Working in stone and wood producing highly successful sculptures for clients such as British Waterways, Welsh Tourist Board, Local Authorities and schools nationwide.
A recent commission was for The River Stort Sculpture Trail. His stone carving The Flowing River is sited at Harlow Mill lock.

"The Flowing River" part of the Stort Sculptue Trail.
