The artworks have been selected to be a pleasure to
look at, to possess, or to give as very special presents.

For the Christmas period each year The Gallery presents a mixed exhibition of fine art and craftwork of the usual high standard but priced affordably. Paintings and prints vary widely from colourful abstracts by Jean Noble to detailed flower studies by Dilys Hallybone. New to The Gallery this year are intriguing small prints by young artist Ralph Overill.

Ceramics include lustrous stoneware and porcelain by Margaret Gardiner contrasting with pieces which are colourful and usable by Marylin Andreetti and Aila Simpson. Works of art in glass from the studio at Parndon Mill are exhibited along with blown and fused pieces by Cathryn Shilling and lamps by Pia Zocca. Ann Small exhibits woven textiles and a quirky range of toys.

A special feature of this exhibition is an interesting and unusual range of jewellery including bracelets made out of banknotes by Tine de Ruysser (as with gold jewellery, everyone can see that the jewellery is worth money)! Also new to The Gallery this year will be glass and silver jewellery by Caroline Moiret and Sarah Fell.
