New paintings by
CHRIS ROSKELL

Those who have seen Chris Roskell's earlier work will know that he is essentially an abstract painter and may wonder where the somewhat literal title of this exhibition comes from. This show of new work from the last two years will help to explain his thinking about how and why the work has changed, and in the process answer the question:

"If that is a landscape, what's that in the sky?"

While Chris Roskell's paintings are perfectly at home in a domestic situation, their scale and colour are extremely suitable for hanging in offices where they become a talking point as well as decoration. The exhibition sponsors J. Berry Construction have commissioned some full sized giclee prints for their premises, and the offices of Avalon at Parndon Mill will be enhanced by several of his paintings during Open Studios which occurs the last weekend of July.
